A mid-20th century Iranian (Persian) unmarked silver vase, Isfahan circa 1940 retailed by Khosrow
Pahlavi dynasty. Of tapering rounded form upon a spreading circular foot, the upper section of convex form with an everted neck, handles deficient. The concave section with chased monabbat-kari decoration of goats within peony foliage, attended to by a nightingale golo morgh, all between bands of rosettes, the everted neck with chased peonies and engraved ghalam zani foliate scroll. The body with engraved peony vignettes reserved with strap work and arabesques, the foot with vertical rosette bands and a chased edge of nightingales among flowers gol o bolbol. Marked to the interior of the rim with retailer’s mark and standard mark (۸۴).
