AN ANTIQUE HERIZ RUNNER, NORTH-WEST PERSIA

The shaded deep indigo field with hooked leaves and rosettes around single column of seven large and linked medallions, each containing bold multicoloured hooked palmette. In rust and ivory triple border of of angular polychrome palmettes, rosettes and angular vine between plain stirpes, approx: 13ft.5in. x 3ft.4in.(409cm. x 102cm.) Very good type and good colour combination. Bold appearance. This runner has slight localized wear on the field down to knot collar showing dot like warps in places. Selvages rebound, well done. Ends with short fringes, slightly fraying. Very small resawn cut at one end. In general this runner is in good usable conditon. Very elegant and good frinshing size. Attractive.
