A mid-20th century Cambodian silver dish on stand (Tok), circa 1940 marked MOL

Circular form with a rounded basin upon a screw fixed stand formed as three supports modelled as Garuda upon a domed base. The main body and foot with embossed architraves chased with foliate patterns and water lettuce, on the bowl section alternating with thephanom figures. The domed base with chased decoration of rosettes within lotus petal vignettes. The bowl interior marked MOL.

Diameter – 28.5 cm / 11.25 inches

Height – 19 cm / 7.5 inches

Weight – 1133 grams / 36.43 ozt.

For a mid-20th century covered Tok, dated 1942 marked MOL with Royal association, sold these rooms, 16 July 2021, lot 220 (£4750 incl. prem)
