Possibly Lucknow, Awadh, Northern India, late 19th - early 20th century
Of typical shape, made of 23 re-strung cusped silver plaques, each one decorated with vegetal decoration in black enamel, set with red paste, and caparisoned with small pearls and red glass beads, the back plain and the chain a later addition, the plaques band 19.5cm long, the neck's width 18cm.
