A late 18^th century Russian unmarked silver gilt and niello scent bottle, Moscow circa 1770

Of compressed baluster form each side with a niello cartouche of a lady in a long dress smelling a rose, the opposite side a gentleman recumbent, with strapwork side and flowerheads. The top with a pull off lid secured by a suspension chain. The underside engraved У. В. Ф over A. C. П, within a rocaille C scroll cartouche.
