JEAN BAPTISE GERMAIN (FRENCH, 1841-1910): A PAIR OF BRONZE FIGURES OF PEASANT GIRLS 'JEUNE FILLE A LA CRUCHE CASSEE', the first bronze depicting the young girl standing looking pensive with the broken urn at her feet, the second depicting the same girl holding the broken vase, a fragment still at her feet, wearing a ribbon tied bodice falling from her shoulders, the naturalistic circular bases signed 'J.B. Germain'
