Autograph Albums.- Actors & Entertainers

Two autograph albums featuring signature by prominent stage actors and entertainers, comprising: Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, Karl De Richter, Vernon Lee, Vivien Leigh, Flora Robson, Vic Oliver, Laurence Olivier, Michael Wilding, Peggy Ashcroft, Ralph Richardson, John Gielgud, Evelyn Laye, Jean Simmons, Margaret Lockwood, Tommy Handley, Noe Coward (on same page as Denis Matthews) and Dennis Compton (loosely inserted), some soiling throughout, various bindings, wear and discolouration, spine and front board of the smallest album detached, v.s., 1940s (2)

Provenance: All signatures were obtained by the vendor's father. The Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy autographs were signed in August 1947 at Winter Gardens, Margate. The Dennis Compton signature was obtained at Finchley Cricket Club in the late 1940s. All the other autographs were signed at Theatrical Garden Parties in London in the late 1940s.
