Oman and Saudi Arabia, 19th - 20th century

Comprising a short jambiya dagger, with a curved double-edged steel blade and T-shaped wooden handle, the sheath covered in silver plaques with vegetal scrollwork and silver thread embroidery arranged in geometric order, the woven belt still attached to the sheath through two large silver rings, 30.5cm long including the sheath; and a Saudi Arabian dagger, with a curved double-edged steel blade, the handle overlaid with silver panels and rounded bosses, the base of the sheath made of engraved copper, decorated with an intertwined geometric motif, 54.5cm long including the sheath.
