A late-19^th century French 950 standard silver gilt soup tureen, Paris circa 1900 by Hénin and Cie (reg. 7^th August 1896)

Of oval form upon an oval foot, with laurel rims and reeded twin loop handles with honeysuckle junctions. The pull-off domed lid surmounted by loop handle modelled as adjoined cornucopia of plenty but a stylised leaf calyx. Fully marked throughout, numerals underneath M 30875.
