A late-19th century French 950 standard silver gilt soup tureen, Paris circa 1900 by Hénin and Cie (reg. 7th August 1896)
Of oval form upon an oval foot, with laurel rims and reeded twin loop handles with honeysuckle junctions. The pull-off domed lid surmounted by loop handle modelled as adjoined cornucopia of plenty but a stylised leaf calyx. Fully marked throughout, numerals underneath M 30875.
