A Good Smith, Beck & Beck Folding Table-Top Stereo Viewer, circa 1860

The viewer #34, has simple "push/pull" focusing and is fixed to the top of the box lid, the bottom of which provide support when in use. Slight warping to the lid and a small split halfway across to the carrying handle. See Paul Wing, Stereoscopes: The First 100 Years, p35.
