A VERY FINE PART SILK TABRIZ CARPET, NORTH-WEST PERSIA

The light beige field with delicate scrolling and leafy vine around concentric double floral and arabesque medallion with pendants, containing similar smaller centerpiece. Open spandrel similar in sea green border os serrated palmettes and mendric floral and leafy vine between tripel floral meandre stipes. Outer plain stipe approx, 9ft.11in. x 6ft.8in. (302cm x 204cm). Very good type with very good colour combination. This carpet has full pile of very soft kurk quality wool together with part silk. ends and salvages original. Very fine weave approx. 9x 9 knot sq.cm. In general this carpet is in very good condition throughout. Very attractive and elegant piece.
