A late 19th century Indian Colonial silver christening mug, Madras dated 1872 by Peter Orr

of rounded circular form with an everted rim upon a stepped domed foot, an acanthus capped C scroll handle. The body with engraved arabesques with a cartouche to the front with an engraved presentation inscription reading “Thurza Frances Johanna, Cullen Craig, from Surgeon W. F. Cullen, H.M 2/24th Regiment 1872 Secunderabad”. Marked to the front of foot rim ORR.
