A large and heavy mid-20th century Cambodian silver casket or cigarette box, presumably Phnom Penh circa 1950

A large and heavy mid-20th century Cambodian silver casket or cigarette box, presumably Phnom Penh circa 1950

of rectangular from with a hinged lid. All over decorated with embossed and chased foliate scrolls and peonies, the lid centred with a Himaphan face, similarly decorated to the sides. Marked underneath with French guarantee mark (swan used 1893-1970) and DAC.
