Notes: Oscar Torlasco (born in Rome, 1934-2004) designed for a wide range of Italian lighting manufacturers including Esperia and Stilkronen, although he spent most of his career designing for Lumi.
Particularly active during the 1950s and 1960s, Torlasco’s lighting designs, often used industrial chromed steel which he paired with more luxurious materials such as marble, crystal, and brass. His eclectic designs ranged in style from Industrial and Space Age to Italian Art Deco. The use of optical glass lenses within his designs is considered Torlasco's signature. In 1959, he was awarded a Compasso d'Oro for his public street light Genova 4053 (1959)
