An early 20th century Cambodian unmarked silver kettle / water pot (Kar Nam Ton), circa 1920
Of globular form, upon a domed circular foot, a swing handle of shaped form with inset stained horn section. A pull of lid of stacked circular form surmounted by a pyriform finial. The body with densely chased decoration of foliate scrolls, chrysanthemum and Thai lai dok phuttan (cotton rosemallow flower) patterns, interspaced with Himaphan faces.
