A pair of Napoleon III mid-19th century French 950 standard silver candlesticks, Paris circa 1849-61 by Martial Frey (active 1849-1861)
Each with shaped circular bases with moulded edges and buttresses, the moulded inverted baluster columns leading to a shaped petel form section with moulded capitals fitted with removable sconces. Marked with export mark (mercury’s head) and maker’s mark. (2)
