A PAIR OF CHIPPENDALE STYLE MAHOGANY OPEN ARMCHAIRS, 18TH CENTURY AND LATER, the top rail centred with a carved scallop shell flanked by carved scrolling acanthus leaves, over a pierced and carved scrolling splat back, the arms with acanthus carved scrolling ends on turned supports, with embroidered drop in seats, above a gadrooned apron, raised on acanthus leaf carved cabriole legs joined by H stretchers, on ball and claw feet.
