Warner (Jack)

Warner (Jack)

Typed letter signed ('Jack Warner') to Mr Flatow, reading "You are quite right in your recognition of the Medal Ribbons I wear in our 'Dock Green' show. I don't know whether you saw the episode which finished the last series, but in it I was supposed to have tackled a dangerous gunman and I was shot in so doing, afterwards being awarded the B.E.M.; so you will readily understand that I was very moved when a lady sent me her husband's original B.E.M. ribbon to wear on my uniform, as he was injured in similar circumstances and won the medal in real life", one page, folding marks, 4to , 9 Courtfield Mews, Courtfield Road, London, 9 October 1958.

Estimated at £150 - £200
