A Louis XV mid-18th century French provincial silver écuelle and cover, Avignon circa 1740 by Joseph-Marie Lamalatière
Of rounded form with twin stylised shell handles, the pull-off lid of stepped and domed form incised with a flattened circular handle above incised concentric circles. Marked underneath and to lid interior with town mark and makers mark twice.
