A late 19th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver three-piece tea set, Calcutta circa 1880
Raj period. Comprising a teapot, a milk ug and a twin handled sugar bowl. Each of globular form upon a collet foot. The teapot with a curved spout opposite a C scroll handle modelled as a cobra, leading to a hinged domed lid surmounted by a finial formed as a frog. The milk and sugar with cobra handles. The bodies with embossed decoration of figures within hillscapes with trees, including oxen, houses, palm trees and fur trees. (3)
