The shadded indigo field with delicate floral vine issuing large serrated leaves and palmettes around light rust red indented floral medallion enclosing smaller similar panel and radiating floral centerpiece. Small floral spandrels in shadded rust red border of stylised multicoloured turtle-palmette and scrolling rosette and leafy vine between light blue floral, chain and plain stripes, approx. 11ft.9in.x 8ft.11in.(357cm x 271cm). Very nice example from North-West Persian weaving with good colour combination, bold appearence. Apart of slight wear on top pile in few places, this carpet has good pile, soft wool quality. Small old repair at one end, well-done. ends with short fringes. Salvages original. In general, this carpet is in very good usable condition. Attractive and very good furnishing piece.
