A NEAR-PAIR OF CHINESE WUCAI BALUSTER 'HORSES' VASES AND COVERS.

Qing Dynasty.

Each with a tapered body and a rounded shoulder, painted with four brown and yellow horses leaping above stylised waves crashing against rocks, large blossoms and precious symbols floating among eddies, the shoulder with a band of cracked-ice, the short neck with lappets, the stepped domed cover with a bud finial similarly painted with blossoms and precious objects among eddies, together with wood stands, 39cm H. (6)
