A ROMAN GREEN GLASS FOUR-HANDLED FLASK Circa 5th Century A.D. Standing on an integral splayed foot, surmounted by the piriform body with a rounded shoulder tapering to the cylindrical neck, the neck decorated with applied spiral trail in the same green glass, four arched handles join the vessel at the neck and shoulder,  18.8cm high.  Published: F. Siltine, Histoire du Verre: L'Antiquité, Paris, 2005, p.89. Provenance: Collection of M. & Mme. Nobili, Paris, acquired prior to 1985.
