A late 19th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver bachelor teapot, Lucknow circa 1890

Raj period. Of globular form upon a waisted collet foot, with a curved spout opposite a serpent cobra handle leading to a hinged domed lid surmounted by a finial of a caparisoned elephant statant. The body with chased decoration in coriander pattern below a palmette border. Together with a milk jug of similar form and pattern. (2)
