An early 20th century Anglo – Indian silver soap box, Calcutta circa 1920
Raj period, of rectangular form with rounded corners, with embossed decoration of a hunter shooting an arrow at a dear within the forest to the hinged lid, centred with a shield shape cartouche engraved with initials SM in cypher. The sides with embossed village scenes. Stamped STERLING underneath.
