An early 20th century Scottish unmarked silver agate set casket, Edinburgh circa 1925
Of rectangular form upon four ball feet. The hinged lid with ovolo edge, side catch. The lid set with bloodstone and banded agates centred with a large quartz in an openwork and engraved foliate mount. The sides with similar agate mounts, otherwise all over reserved with engraved decoration of scrolls. Velvet line interior. Engraved underneath Mackay & Chisholm, St. Princes Street, Edinburgh.
