Series of 73 miniature etchings from ‘Handt’, ‘Casimira’, ‘Clarissa’, including captions, [1779-1782], v.s.; with 4 etchings from 'Die Beiden Sitzenden Damen am Baume', 1758; 13 from 'Basedow's Gesangbuch des Philantropin zu Dessau', 1780; 13 from 'Gellerts Fabeln'; 5 from 'Stolbergs Gedichten'; and others of similar interest by the same author (quantity)

*** Daniel Chodowiecki (1726-1801) was a Polish – German painter and printmaker with Huguenot ancestry, who is most famous as an etcher. He spent most of his life in Berlin, and became the director of the Berlin Academy of Art. His book illustrations were inspired by the classics and represent in detail the life of the bourgeoisie during the Zopfstil period, a time between Rococo and Classicism.
