PORTRAITS OF MEN AND WOMEN, c.1840s-1850s, A group of quarter plate (3¼ x 4¼ in) daguerreotypes (21) and ambrotypes (2), some hand-coloured, comprising one daguerreotype in a gilt frame measuring 19 x15.5cm. Subjects include: half and full-length studio portraits of men and women, a portrait of a young woman with her baby, and an interesting portrait of a couple, with hand-coloured gilt jewels and details.
