A George III sterling silver gilt and agate vinaigrette, London 1801 by Richard Lockwood and John Douglass (reg. 12th August 1800)

Of oval form with a hinged lid set with banded agate, stand away hinge. The sides with engraved striated decoration, suspension loop. The interior with a hinged unmarked, possibly gold grill, drill pierced and engraved with acorns enclosing a shaped ellipse. Marked to the base interior only, also stamped GAIMES LONDON for William Gaimes and Elizabeth Gaimes est. 1801.
