AN EXTREMELY FINE NAIN TUDESHK LARGE RUG, CENTRAL PERSIA

The light blue field with overall design of various multicoloured palmettes, floral boteh together with floral tendrils and flowering vine. In light beige border of polychrome palmettes, delicate floral and leafy vine between arabesques, floral meandre and barber-pole stripes. Outer plain stripe, approx. 8ft. x 5ft.2in.(244cm x 157cm). A very good type sought after at present market. Very good colour combination and well drawn overall design. This rug has full pile of very for kurk wool quality. Salvages original with slight wear on cord in places. Ends with original kilim and fringes. Slight fraying on fringes. Very fine weave approx. 10 x 10 knots per sq.cm. In general, this small carpet is in very good usable condition. Unusual to have large size for this type. Attractive and elegant piece.
