An early 19th century Portuguese silver coffee pot, Lisbon circa 1800 by F over L.S (unidentified V.362)
D. Maria (1777-1816), of shaped oval form upon an oval foot, the curved spout opposite an angular section ebonised handle pinned to tubular sockets. The hinged domed lid surmounted by a detachable urn finial. The body with flat chased and embossed decoration of acanthus scroll rosettes. Marked to foot rim edge with makers mark and assay mark (V.30), assay scrape underneath and with scratch weight 4=1=4.
