A QUM CARPET OF GARDEN DESIGN, CENGTRAL PERSIA

The field with overall ivory foral lozenge lattice containing various multicoloured floral sprays, palmettes, flowering vases and stylised trees. In shaded rust-red border of bold palmettes and angular floral and leafy vine between light blue linked lozenge and reciprocal stripes. Outer plain stripe, approx: 10ft.9in. x 9ft.1in.(326cm. x 246cm.) Good type with very noicely drawn garden design and good colour combination. This carpet has localized wear to the pile, down to knot collar and below. Selvages original with touches of fraying on cord wool in small places. Ends with short fringes slightly fraying. In general this carpet is in fair decent usable condition despite the imperfections. Very good furnishing piece.
