A mid-20th century Japanese silver Imperial presentation bonbonniere, probably Ikoma circa 1940

Shōwa period. Modelled after a fan Uchiwa, swivel section lid (detached) the top with the sixteen-petal chrysanthemum kikumon of the Imperial Household and the mon of the Shimadzu clan, flanked by clouds. Unmarked.
