A ROMAN AMBER GLASS PILLAR-MOULDED BOWL  Circa 1st Century A.D. Formed of dark amber glass, with the pillar decoration in deep relief, the interior of the bowl with incised wheel-cut bands, 12.5cm diameter, 6.8cm high. Provenance: French private collection, S. Angibeaud (1898 - 2002), the majority of the collection acquired in the 1960s; Bonham's, London, Antiquities, 22 October 2013, lot 153.
