A late 19th century Chinese export silver tea caddy, Canton circa 1890, marked Zhou, retailed by Wang Hing
Qing dynasty. Of compressed circular form with a pull off cylindrical gently domed lid. The body with finely chased decoration of two phoenix’s, one to each side, reserved with peonies all against a textured ground. Marked underneath with artisan mark 卓 (ZHUO), numeral 90, and retailer’s mark WH.
