The shaded brick-red field with various hooked and angular motifs around large hooked and stepped medallion with bold hooked palmette pendants containign palmette cartouches enclosing radtiating hooked and floral centrepiece. Ivory hooked leaf spandrels. In an indigo border od stylised turtle-palmettes, rosettes and angular vine between floral meander, reciprocal and plain stripes, approx: 304cm. x 250cm. Classic for this type with good colours and bold design. This carpet has slight localized wear to the pile. Selvages rebound, slightly fraying on wool in few places. Ends with short fringes with very slightly fraying at one end. In general this carpet is in good usable condition. Popular type at present market. Very good frunishing piece.
