An early 20th century Anglo-Indian unmarked silver twin handled tray, Karachi or Bhuj circa 1910
Raj period, of shaped rectangular form raised upon four chased open work twin scroll bracket feet with convex edge with finely chased openwork rim of fruiting vine populated with birds, the edge further ornamented with spot hammered decoration. The twin loop handled with chased decoration of a flower head and leaves, with foliate junctions. The field centred with a circular vignette of elephants bathing in ta rive with vegetation and houses in the background with a reed and ribbon edge, held within a rectangular frame reserved with proudly embossed fruiting vine cornered with birds. The field edged with embossed roses with birds perched upon the stalks, leading to two vacant cartouches.
