A CHINESE AMETHYST INCENSE BURNER AND COVER AND AN AMETHYST BRUSH REST. Qing Dynasty, 19th Century. The bombe-form incense burner raised on three lion mask-and-claw feet connected by a stretcher, with dragon mask handles, the cover with three ram head handles and a coiled dragon finial, the brush rest carved as a peach branch with a pair of small monkeys amongst the large fruit, 13.5cm.
