An early 20th century continental 935 standard silver gilt and enamel cigarette case, German or Swiss with import marks for London 1926 by T C & Son Ltd
Rectangular form with a hinged lid with a shaped thumbpiece. The lid with painted enamel scene of three children in 18th century dress, playing a game with a blindfold, a putto in attendance, reserved with foliate scrolls with cream coloured enamel. The sides with engine turned decoration topped with translucent amber coloured guilloche enamel, edged with opaque black enamel, the underside with the same guilloche enamel reserved the same as the lid. Gilt interior. The base bezel stamped 935 and with import marks.
