A mid-19th century Chinese Export silver teapot stand, Canton circa 1860 retailed by Wang Hing
Qing dynasty, transitional China Trade period. Of oval form upon four splay feet. The ovolo edge with embossed decoration of shaped vignettes, two with figural groups including reading books, the other reserves with bamboo, or coy carp amidst pond weed. Each vignette reserved with triangular punch work. Plain field. Marked to the reverse with retailer’s mark WH and artisan mark only QUAN 泉 [cantonese CYUN].
