TWO CHINESE OVERLAY GLASS SNUFF BOTTLES.
Qing Dynasty.
Each carved through red glass to a bubble-suffused ground, the first with an Immortal in a raft to one side and ducks on a pond to the reverse, the second bottle with stylised meandering kui dragon scrolls, 7.2cm H. (3)
Provenance: an English private collection, acquired in China in the early 20th Century, thence by descent to the present owner.
