A William IV sterling silver 'castle top' vinaigrette, Birmingham 1835 by Taylor and Perry

Of rectangular form with chased foliate edges, engine turned decoration to the sides, with a vacant rectangular cartouche. The lid with a cast panel of Newstead Abbey. The gilt interior with a hinged pierced grill of a foliate scroll with rosette. Fully marked to base and lid, the grill with maker’s mark.

Length – 4.1 cm / 1.6 inches

Weight – 27 grams / 0.87 ozt
