A George III sterling silver spirit flask, London circa 1795 by Jonathan Perkins I and Jonathan Perkins II (reg. 5th Aug 1795, disbanded by 1800)

Of oblong cross section with screw cap. Engraved to one side with an engraved crest a hand grasping a lion’s gamb (?) above the motto Nil Sine Labore, the obverse engraved with a crest of a dove holding in its beak an olive-branch above the motto Passant cressant en honneur. Fully marked to the base, the screw cap with lion passant only.

Length – 12.7 cm / 5 inches

Weight – 173 grams / 5.56 ozt
