Laurel (Stan)

Typed letter signed ('Stan Laurel'), saying "Yes I saw the Jerry Lewis film “The Bellboy” sometime ago – thought the impersonation of me was quite a resemblance. Jerry Lewis & I are very good friends, so through him I met this young chap, he actually is the drummer in Jerry’s band & has had no experience as an actor, so under the circumstances he did an excellent job. The cartoon idea for L&H has not developed yet, so don't know it will materialize or not, it's just in the discussion stage[…] I saw the “Dotto” game many times over here, but it was taken off the air, it was found to be crooked, in fact this is what started the Quiz Scandal Investigation by the Government – since then all these types of shows are not allowed anymore", one page, folding marks, 4to, Santa Monica, California, 6 December 1960; with original mailing envelope.
