A YIXING ZISHA TEAPOT AND COVER.

The rounded body rising to wide shoulders and a short neck, lobed into six sections each with an bowed cocave face, the shoulders set wth twelve equally spaced studs, the S-shaped teapot emerging from the mouth of a mythical beast opposite the handle, the well-fitted cover set with a spherical finial, the base with an impressed Wang Youlan zhi mark, 12cm H. (2)

宜興紫砂蓋壺,陽文「王友蘭製」篆書款

Wang Youlan (1644 – 1722) created yixing teapots for the Kangxi Emperor and pieces are retained in the Imperial Collection in Beijing.
