The light-beige field with deliacate scrolling palmette, floral and leafy vines around double concentric arabesque and floral medallion with pendants, containing similar light blue and beige center piece. Beige spandrel similar in shaded pale-rust border of similar design between flowering arabesques and plain stripes, approx. 10ft.1in. x 6ft.in.(307cm x 198cm). Great example for this type with very weel drawn design and colour combination. This carpet has full pile of very soft and lustrous wool together with part- silk. Salvages and ends original. Very fine weave 8 x 8 knots per sq.cm. In general this carpet is very good condition through out. Attractive and elegant piece.
