Oban tate-e, from the series Sixty-nine Stations of Kisokaido, each depicting a historical/legendary scene associated with the location on the Kisokaido. The first with a title Niekawa, depicting Takeuchi no Sukune defeating his brother Amamiuchi no sukune in the ordeal of boiling water, and the second with a title Uematsu, Eda Genzo on a pine tree watching the approach of the army, the publisher’s seal Kagaya Yasubei, the date seal 1852.
