An early 20th century Chinese export silver box, Shanghai circa 1910, marked Xiang Long, retailed by Hung Chong
Qing dynasty. Of rectangular form with a hinged lid, the lid and sides with chased decoration of flowering prunus trees against a ‘cracked ice’ background. The lid centred with a vacant oval cartouche. Gilt interior. Marked underneath with artisan mark 祥隆 (XIANG LONG), and retailer’s mark HC.
