The indigo field with single coloumn of large multicoloured stepped hooked and floral panels flanked by small polychrome octagons, hooked panels and animal figures. In an ivory border of serrated leaves and glass motfs between light blue rosette stripes. Outer barber-pole and hooked S-motif stripes, approx: 9ft.2in. x 4ft.)279cm. x 122cm.) Very good type and nicely deatiled design. Colours are well balanced. This piece has slight even wear to the top pile and silghtly corroded black. Ends with short fringes slightly fraying, secured. Small old repair in one corner. Selvages fraying with cord missing in one or two small places. Slight discolouration at one end. In general this rug is in decent usable conditon. The imperfections do reflect in an estimate. Very good example for this type.
