AN ANTIQUE CHINESE CARPET, approx; 360cm. x 278cm. Very good type with great overall design of anguylar fleafy vine, stylised open flowerheads and four roundels, each with sea wave, cloudbands and crane. Very good colour combinaton with soft ivory field.This carpet has touches of slight wear to the top pile in few small places on the field barely visible. Small dot-like wear at the edge of one border in few places. Very light discolouration in few small places, noticeable on closer inspection. Both ends with short kilim. Selvages original. In general this carpet is in very good usable condition. Attractive and very good furnishing piece. Sought after type at present market.
